OCS Samson Talaam’s Alibi in Albert Ojwang’s Case: A Defense or a Deflection?

Information circulating on X indicates that OCS Samson Talaam of the Central Police Station was truthful in his account to IPOA, asserting that he was not at the station on the night Albert Ojwang was killed.

Instead, Talaam was reportedly at Kabunde Pub, located near Wilson Airport, in the company of a woman named Mercy, who is said to be an employee at KRA. Mercy has allegedly been his long-term romantic partner. On that evening, Talaam is said to have left the station around 8 p.m., heading to Wilson alongside Mercy.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., he received a phone call from an individual who identified himself as Sigei, notifying him about the arrival of a suspect. Talaam reportedly responded by saying he had handed over responsibility to his deputy, Ng’ang’a.

Later, around 3 a.m., the deputy OCS contacted Talaam to inform him that the situation had escalated. It was then that Talaam left the pub, dropped off Mercy, and proceeded back to the station.

Talaam has refused to take the fall, and sources suggest that CCTV footage from the pub will support his version of events
