Sole Survivor of Air India Flight 171 Speaks Out


Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British passenger, is believed to be the only survivor of the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash on June 12. The flight, carrying 242 passengers and crew, went down in a devastating accident.

"It all happened so quickly," Ramesh recounted to the Hindustan Times. "When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me."

He described the chaotic aftermath, recalling how someone grabbed him, placed him in an ambulance, and rushed him to the hospital. His survival remains a remarkable story amid the tragedy.
